Privacy Policy

Last updated: dated on publication

This policy describes the current pre-launch beta site, which collects only a waitlist email. It is reasonable-effort GDPR compliance, not formal legal advice.

Who is responsible for your data (data controller)

FairCharts is operated by Sergej Stoppel, based in Norway.

If you have any question about how we handle your personal data, contact us at the email above.

What we collect, and why

FairCharts is currently a pre-launch beta. The only personal data we collect from you is what you give us when you join the waitlist:

DataHow we get itWhy we collect it
Your email addressYou type it into the waitlist formTo notify you when the beta opens and to send occasional updates about the launch
Date and time you signed upRecorded automatically when you submit the formTo keep a record of when you gave consent
Approximate countryDerived from your network request (Cloudflare CF-IPCountry)Basic understanding of where interest is coming from; helps us prepare for regional needs
Browser/user-agent string and referring pageSent automatically by your browserSpam/abuse prevention and basic diagnostics

We do not collect your name, payment details, or any chart data at this stage. We do not buy, sell, or rent personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Legal basis (GDPR Article 6)

Where your data is stored, and who processes it

We use service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf under their terms:

We do not currently use a separate email/waitlist provider; the waitlist is stored only in Cloudflare. If we add an email provider to send the launch announcement, we will name it here before doing so.

Some processors may transfer data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The site loads its fonts from our own servers (self-hosted), so loading a page does not transmit your IP address to any third-party font or asset provider.

How long we keep your data

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Norway this is Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, datatilsynet.no). If you are elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you may contact your local authority.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary security cookies, which are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules.

Changes to this policy

As FairCharts moves from beta to a live product, we will update this policy (for example, when we add accounts, payments, or chart processing). We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
