What we collect, and why
FairCharts is currently a pre-launch beta. The only personal data we collect from you is what you give us when you join the waitlist:

We do not collect your name, payment details, or any chart data at this stage. We do not buy, sell, or rent personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Legal basis (GDPR Article 6)
- Your email and signup record: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights" below).
- Technical request data (country, user-agent, referrer) used for spam prevention and diagnostics: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service secure and functional. This data is minimal and not used to identify or track you across sites.
Where your data is stored, and who processes it
We use service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf under their terms:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website, stores the waitlist (in Cloudflare Workers KV), and routes all traffic. Cloudflare may process data in the EU and/or other regions and provides safeguards for international transfers (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not currently use a separate email/waitlist provider; the waitlist is stored only in Cloudflare. If we add an email provider to send the launch announcement, we will name it here before doing so.
Some processors may transfer data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
The site loads its fonts from our own servers (self-hosted), so loading a page does not transmit your IP address to any third-party font or asset provider.
How long we keep your data
- We keep your waitlist email until: (a) the beta launch communications are complete and the waitlist is no longer needed, or (b) you ask us to delete it / unsubscribe, whichever comes first.
- If you do not engage after launch, we will delete or anonymise your email within 6 months of inactivity.
- Technical request data is short-lived and kept only as long as needed for security/diagnostics.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing done before withdrawal).
- Data portability: receive your data in a usable format.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Norway this is Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, datatilsynet.no). If you are elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you may contact your local authority.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly-necessary security cookies, which are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules.
Changes to this policy
As FairCharts moves from beta to a live product, we will update this policy (for example, when we add accounts, payments, or chart processing). We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
